Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). CNAs assist patients with daily living activities, monitor health conditions, and help maintain a clean and safe environment in healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or in-home care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)

• Help patients with mobility (transferring, turning, walking, using wheelchairs)

• Serve meals and assist with feeding when necessary

• Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)

• Report changes in patient condition to nursing staff

• Keep patient rooms clean and organized

• Assist with medical procedures under supervision

• Provide emotional support to patients and families

• Document care provided according to facility guidelines

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

• Current CNA certification/license for the state of practice

• Basic understanding of medical terminology

• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required by employer)
